Need to kill chickweed but not Durana clover

My Durana clover is a good healthy stand, mostly 3 years old but it is being invaded hard by chickweed, the stuff is taking over in places and spreading, butyrac didn't do anything,,, killed other weeds but not the chickweed,,, the only thing that I can come up with is a diluted roundup mix and hope that the clover isn't hurt to bad, any other suggestions????

Yeah chickweed is an annual that can't withstand temps above 85 very long but if its mature it very well could seed itself for next season.

Thats true,, it sure bugs me to see it overwhelming the clover at this point, the deer took the Durana down to the nubs last winter and it has just started rebounding,, it stays cooler up here in the hills, my foodplot is at 2900 feet

Too late now, but try a pre-emergent early next spring. Maybe pendamethlin or something like that to keep it from coming up.

chickweed is already flowering and making big mats,,,,, hand pulled some, hit a few with a heavy dose of butyrac just to see what happens
