Sausage Stuffer

I'm looking to get a vertical sausage stuffer. I do have a nice grinder with sausage attachments but I find it difficult to use in a one-person activity. Does anyone have one they would recommend?

One stuffer I looked at is the LEM 5 lb vertical stuffer. What I like about it is the metal gears. Many of the $100 stuffers have plastic gears.

Another brand that is popular is the Grizzly. It has nylon gears but from what I've read, you can replace them using the LEM metal gears. A Grizzly with replacement metal gears is cheaper than the LEM.

I got a 11 lb from Cabelas and it works great.
It is a rack and pinion with two speeds and lays flat, don't think they make it any more just the one that lays down.

I've got the LEM vertical 5 lb. It's flawless so far and there's no way you can break the gears (knock on wood). My only regret is that I did not get the 15 lb LEM or 10 lb equivalent from someone else as the 10 lb LEM is dual geared, which I really don't need. Also just got a new LEM #12 grinder and have had a nice LEM slicer for a while. I'm a fan of the brand.

The one you shown is excellent, and Cabelas are equally good, just don't mess up and get the one that has plastic gears. As long as you stay in those two styles you will never need another one. I have several of these I am planning on refurbishing and using and maybe selling a couple. These are the old enterprise one and they come in 4 pound, 8 pound and I think 20 pound
