New Herd Spreader

I've been thinking about getting a new spreader to help make doing footplots a little bit less strenuous, and finally pulled the trigger last week. Corapeake offered to order me one through his account and even offered it at a discounted price, Thanks John! I purchase the electric Herd ATV broadcast spreader and rheostat to control the spread width. I ended up welding up my own frame to save money and set it up how I liked. I can’t wait to try this thing out.

Looks good. Having the right tools sure helps.

Have you tried it out? We put one on the front end of a Gator. I ate more ferlizer than hit the ground.. Now it's on the back.

Haven't tried it yet, should be using here in the next few weeks. The slinger is mounted below the front of the ATV so if some gets thrown or blown backwards it will hit it and drop down. If it becomes a problem I can easily mount in on the back rack with the same set up.
