GPS Study Tracks Grizzlies as They Follow Hunters

I assisted in a deer depravation study and had it happen to me, I went back and made a plaster mold of his front tracks that had made a perfect impression in a sandy creek bank. They have learned that in a lot of places a couple rifle shots can be a dinner bell for them with a hunter taking deer or elk.

That is truly amazing that a bear can develop food gathering skills by knowing that when hunters enter their territory there might be an easy meal waiting for them. Amazing and scary.

I'd guess that yotes react the same. Gunshot = dinner.

Could be right. I know that gunshots alone doesn't necessarily scare a coyote. I bet if they collared us and them we would be blown away by how close they maneuver around us.......always just out of sight but but not nose or hearing.

I had a black bear come to me one time while squirrel hunting down in the swamp. I had just fired off several shots so he knew I was there.
