Surf fishing at Holden Beach

We went surf fishing yesterday (11-11-2015) and really caught a bunch of fish. Mostly 10 to 12 inch black drum, 12 to 14 inch flounder, and 12 to 18 inch blues and 1 43 inch red drum. Plus a bunch of stingrays .We had a great day, weather was wonderful, good group of people to fish with , and as a bonus we caught fish. The drum was caught by an 18 year old young man ,who is turning into a great outdoors man.

Where you fishing at the east end of the beach? What kind of bait where you using?

We started at east end and worked our way west during the day. We used cut bait, squid and shrimp. Drum was caught on a hi/low rig baited with shrimp.

Headed that direction this morning for a week, might try Sunset or Ocean Isle too; Tuesday and Wednesday look to be decent weather for being on the beach.
