Fishing the turning basin at Morehead. Started out a bit cool but started catching Sea Mullet right away..Got into the Blue's again right by the train trestle as you go thru the high rise bridge over to Beaufort.. Gray Trout were there as well we kept 2 of them and put all the Bluefish back but one. The Wife caught a nice puppy drum while fishing for Trout at the trestle it was about 17 inches long but the fish went back to grow up a bit..We rarely keep them even if they are legal size and the one she caught was not legal..

Some of the Sea Mullet today were again very nice fish.. We brought home a bunch for the freezer and for the folks up in Johnston County so they can have a few fish during the winter. I guess we put back about as many as we kept today..Around 11 A.M. the wind subsided and the tide was beginning to flood. Nice and warm out there by mid day also..Not as many folks fishing today as there were yesterday...That's it for us this week, maybe next week we will go back and catch enough for supper with the good Lord willing..

Well we didn't go today because the marine forecast was calling for 15-20 knot winds this morning right on thru thursday and friday, and its completely calm out right now..Next week is going to be much colder so maybe time to fish for some Sea Trout if the wind isn't too bad..Maybe the Sea Mullet will hang around for a while if we don't have any luck with the Sea Trout..
