Jug fishing and set lines....

Remember in red for this year had a 3 hook limit for jug and set lines....

Was talking to some guys and they were using 4, also the guy at the fishing store said no limit on the number of hooks....

Showed then in the book it is limited to 3 but they still questioned it.

Do I have it wrong or was it changed again?

Need to have for jug fishing

Marker or float, no trash, glass, or cans
marked with name and info or WRC #
no more than 3 hooks
No live bait

those 4 things and you are fine as of today's rules.... Correct?

That is the way I read the new rules as well

These guys were using 2 each 2 hook rigs on them with stink bait in a gauze ball.

Wonder if a treble hook counts as 3?

There are rules that state single hook only. then call out trebles.

Had some fun with the jug lines this past weekend
nothing big but some good eaters.

Was in a cove close to the dock and the wind was blowing so I ran 15' line with a egg weight on the end and a splitter off for the hook about 3 to 5' of the bottom.

They stayed in place in the wind and got a few fish.
Good thing for the lead line or they would have blown up on the beach in 10 min.

Going back in a few weeks to hit it again.
