Chowan,Albemarle??

Could some of you that live in that area tell me what are the best methods of catching white perch after the spawn and thru the summer.Would prefer casting with ultralight.The lakes I fish are mostly deep water spooning and bottom fishing in the summer.Was interested in area around edenhouse and Albemarle sound. thanks

I've not fished that area, but small jigging spoons work good on Wylie and Norman. Also small jig heads with power bait grubs or twisters work well. Summer they all get out on shelfs. Watch for birds.

We wear them out on the North River during the summer months with beetle spins...Brother catches them on bottom rigs under the bridge going to Edenton as well...

Most any spinnerbait and sometimes a little piece of shrimp or fish belly helps the bite. I have ran out of shrimp bottom fishing and caught them using a shiny piece of potato chip bag on the hook.
