They been all over N Raleigh....six seven years now...used to hear them on the Raleigh Greenway running deer yipping yapping so loud you could hear them inside with windows down.
I have no doubt they got my dog friendly cat....
Neighbors have encountered them walking the greenway with small dogs.
Man at Falls Lake had one attack one of his dogs, one went missing and then a Yote killed his Dachshund in front of him...darted out and grabbed his pet and drug it in the woods while he watched standing in his driveway.

On two separate occasions, I've seen one near the Western Blvd. exit on I-440.

I saw one on Glenwood Ave up hill from Crabtree early one morning...... dead.
Seen more than a few dead off 540...around exit for Creedmore Rd must be crossing area.
They can snatch a small dog so fast....appear to watch patterns if available, and come out of no where.
