BR549

Twelve Pointer
Need to be sure those interested in the 200, 300, 400 & 500 yard rules are in attendance. Might b a good few enjoying popcorn for breakfast.

Nevertheless, thx to Delta this is a great opp to communicate with those lawmakers who cast your vote.

the Delta representative may be the best source. they made a presentation on the economic impact of waterfowl hunting in NC and the millions of dollars put into local economies as a result of waterfowl hunting. They talked about the changing demographics of the hunting population (decrease in waterfowl hunters from the 2012 peak) and the potential impact on the licenses revenues for the WRC. Some discussion about Sunday hunting and the potential for the legislature to authorize zoning the state so that if days are allocated to Sunday hunting that it would not adversely affect the best hunting periods for the sectors of the state - ie. allowing the Oct season in the piedmont and western counties with out taking away Dec and January days from eastern hunters. Did not deal with blind laws.

A number of legislators in attendance. Many asked good questions.
