There are plenty of Longnose Gar and Carp in the Hyco river for bowfishing! They come right up to the boat. I don't know what the regulations are though.

There was a real big fish kill early this year on Hyco. Saw hundreds of dead tilapia. From what I heard they changed from coal to natural gas and aren't having to heat the water anymore.

Still tilapia in it. Thousands upon thousands of tilapia. Y'all gotta remember that the fish kill happened about last cold spell. As water temps warm up, they disperse throughout the lake. And working with tilapia every day, I can assure you that one cold shot did not kill'em all. Those dam things are like cockroaches. Even if there were only 4 left after the kill, there should be 4 million by now. They make rabbits look like nuns.
