Can call technique

Tried the cam call a few times this year with no luck. Watched a few you tube videos but curious what's your technique? Short bleats or several long turns of the can?

I turn the can over 3 times really slow for the longest bleat. Every 40 mins or so depending on where I'm hunting, in thick not so much but open fields every 40 mins or so.

Don't want to use it so much it scares them away.

I also tend to move it around as if the deer is turning their head. I also cover it more to soften the sound.

Long soft calls by blowing into it mostly. I killed a nice Alabama buck a few years back that left the doe he was trailing and came to the can call....they work.

Early this season I had a small buck come into a field about 150 yards away. I decided to experiment. I blew my grunt. No reaction. I bleated with my can. He looked up and started moving sort of in my direction. Every time he stopped moving, I bleated again. He ended up entering the woods and came to within 50 feet behind me. I grunted again and he walked away.
