Silly googlr, that article is from 2012...

And things have not changed since then.

Hence this thread about hunting deer with dogs.

This kind of debate/topic comes up every year.

It must in SC too hence the introduced bill.

I despise horses but am starting to feel bad about how hard y'all are beating this one. That said in Warren County purple paint has helped a good bit with rouge dog hunters. I grew up here and IMHO the biggest issue with dog clubs is when the club consists of a lot of out of town folks. Warren County is fairly tight knit and the local clubs are generally really good guys. I did not enjoy dog hunting the few times I have gone but would hate to see my buddies loose the way they hunt. FWIW in the past few years I have had more trouble with tresspassing still hunters than dogs. The last road I had get torn up was the result of ducks hunters.
I'll agree with this.

The dog club that hunts my part of Warren county is pretty respectful for the most part, and we have a loose "understanding."

I ask that they don't intentionally hunt my land, and they don't mind if I occasionally shoot deer in front of their dogs when they do cross it.
