Crossing the swamp

This is a major deer crossing in a swampy area that is about 1/2 mile long. The deer are bedding in a 50 acre patch of pines that were thinned about 4 years ago and now has a very thick undergrowth that is ideal for security and browse. There is a heavily used winter wheat field about 200 yards from this crossing.

Easy to see why game cameras are so addictive. Looks like one neat place to hang a deer stand.
