Ive been shooting a compound bow since 2000 and love it. Since retiring, I've been working at Dick's and we've had 1 recurve stashed away in our bow room. Yesterday, I put a string on it, went to our small range and shot a handfull of arrows. What a blast! I may have to look into archery using trad gear.... Anyone know much about a Samick Sage take-down bow?

The Samick Sage (and it's sister, the Journey) are a couple of the best 'bang for the buck' recurves out there.

you are correct,,,,,trad shooting is fun,,,more fun to me than compounds,,,,,

Lol, welcome to the dark side! Perfect draw weight to learn with and you slip higher poundage right in it later if you feel the need. Personally, I don't see the need for shoulder-wreckin' draw weights unless I were after elk or moose. Limb technology has come a long way since your father's Bear, I've got 42# limbs pushing an arrow at 200fps, faster than some compounds back in the day...
