Just two pounds shy of the world record Blue, which also came from Kerr. Even better news is this one made it back into the water in good health after it was weighed.
My buddy runs a catfish charter (Redbeard Cats) up there and one of his friends built a huge custom made livewell on his boat just to accommodate such a fish since there have been several 100+ pounders caught in the last few years.
When Dale caught the 141-pounder, he contacted him so they could keep this beast in good condition for the weigh in and release him back. Often times these monsters don't survive, but this one will have a chance to be caught another day!
Here's a video of the release!
