With all the warm weather I was wondering if the crappie have moved into the coves yet. Anyone been fishing for them yet.

Wondering the same thing. I wanted to take my daughter fishing last year and we kind of missed the beginning due to her schedule. This year she has nothing in the way and I wanted to try them at Lake Mcintosh in Alamance County.

There were so many boats under every bridge you could walk across them from one side to the other last weekend, so I tried the coves. Didn't catch any.

Fished shallow last weekend---marked no fish but a ton of bait. Fished shallow again yesterday and finally started seeing fish but no bites. Moved to 30 foot of water and started killing them
I fished last Wednesday and they were still in the deep water. I think maybe by this weekend they might start making their way into the shallows. Water is just at that weird temp right now.
