The NCWRC still plans to stock non native muskellunge into the Yadkin River below Kerr Scott Lake at North Wilkesboro.

I don't figure the muskies will stay up there exclusively and I have caught plenty flathead above Idols dam so I figure their paths will cross. To the muskies get pretty big there isn't any doubt who will eat who. But you are correct, the farther up and the cooler the water stays the safer they will be.

How far below the dam?

How far below do yall fish? I have never had much luck below the dam. I have fished the spillway to the Lowes park area the down where it meets the Roaring River. Large section there I have never fished...

the reason i asked is that i understand the water is cooler now year around at hyco. thus making it harder on the tilapia (the justification for the redfish)

darkthirty, what say ye on the topic of redfish in hyco?
