Santee bowfishing?

Was thinking about taking a trip towards the end of April. I have never been on the lake so I'm honesty scared to death so we plan to just take it easy and ease around. Any one have any general areas that they could point a fellow towards would be greatly appreciated. We will be shooting during day light hours. Also suggestions on places to stay would be great as well. Thanks

Gotta lot of buddies who have been but they were only shooting at night. I really don't know where they were shooting but I have heard that blacks camp is very anti bowfishing. Watch out for gators!
