Turkey Gobblers

These two gobblers are feeding in a winter wheat and clover food plot. This morning before fly down time I heard two gobbling in this general area. Interesting that no hens were with them. Seems too early for most of the hens to be nesting.

I have found hens on nest been setting for 2 weeks before the season, one was on the 12th and 17th of April, poults were already half developed using a flash light, older hens nest earlier.

Going to be an interesting spring season.

7:50 AM this morning. No hens in the field scan photos. Saw four hens behind the house this morning with no escort so who knows when it comes to turkeys.
