The only thing that is being accomplished here is argumenative discussion about who's right and who's wrong. Everyone wants to shoot a nice buck. That's just a bonus of our great sport. Every year there are nice bucks taken throughout the state. I am proud to hunt in a state that offers such adversity when deer hunting. If you like chasing deer with dogs, there's a place for it, if you like still hunting only there are places for that too. North Carolina has many different clubs to choose from and if your lucky enoungh and have you're own piece of land to hunt, you can hunt it how you like. Find a club or get some land that is right for you. People argue over how big a deer should be before you shoot it and whenever you do shoot a big one people get all mad because someone killed it and they didn't. Hunters can be some of the most selfish opinionated people you ever want to meet. People should express their concern to the North Carolina Wildlife Commission about people shooting "scrub bucks" and debate with them why North Carolina should have a restriction. Until then, we should keep our opinions to ourselves. Expressing them will not change anyone's mind, especially here.

For the contest time going to find the smallest deer I can. Cow horns mostly... maybe even some with spots.

Try to find yourself a cowhorn with a messed up horn that leans out to the side instead of up --- he'll have a nice spread and get you some points!

I'm probably not going to get the chance to shoot any scrubs this year, unfortunately.
