Cuba

Got back from a short term mission trip to Cuba a few weeks ago - a wonderful trip. The Holy Spirit is working powerfully in Cuba - they have very little "stuff" but they have a strong faith. They are very evangelistic and work together in sharing the gospel. In 1990 Cuba was 1% evangelical and today that number is 10% - in 24 years 10x growth. If you ever get a chance to go there (legally) then do so!

Hi ZG - we flew from Miami, GSO is right, you can legally go for religious or humanitarian reasons. You need approval from the Treasury dept. and also Cuba.
Also if you have close relatives in Cuba you can go. Most people in line for the plane were taking a lot of stuff for their relatives.

Did you have any trouble with the visa? My dad was supposed to go early this summer but was unable to since the bank that processed the payments for visa's stopped operating.

GSO, no troubles with the visa as far as I know. The Baptist State Convention handled all of our paperwork.
