My pup retrieved his first bird, so that was really cool. Saw probably 40 birds mostly Hoodies in the morning had five decoy and took two out, went back out in the afternoon and saw maybe 12 wood ducks all out of range. Good hunt just glad to get a couple without being able to scout at all, good luck!!!

after yesterdays goose hunt we had time to scout another field we received permission to hunt. We got there before sundown to see birds sitting in the field. They rose from the field at dusk to head back to water, when they did, we realized what field we were hunting today.

If you have to be crazy to hunt ducks, I do not wish to be sane.

I honestly don't know how you hold down a job with birds like that

No splits here, just 107 straight days of hunting. The four days a week I work are sometimes nice breaks from the hunting.

The wind wasn't right and the water was wayyyy low this past weekend but we made the best of it and shot some birds. Didn't get to blind until 7am so likely could have killed more but I'll take it!

We decided to test our long line rigs yesterday, this was half of the birds we saw all morning. Awesome hunt... Said no one ever! But when you say " we decoyed 50% of the birds we saw all day" it sounds cool Lmao
