Orange County, circa 8:30 am, doe at 50 yards using .50 cal Thompson/Center Hawken , 325 gr R.E.A.L. bullet over 70 gr of FFF black powder.

Five does ran past my stand around 8:00am into a brushy river bottom, two worked back to me. First shot at closest doe (~ 40 yards) was a misfire, only the cap went off. They both alerted , looking at me but I froze, and they did not spook. When they went back to eating, I quietly recapped, aimed at further doe which was slightly larger, slightly quartering toward me. Found dead after about 150 yards of tracking, bullet struck one lung and the liver.

P.S.- Bumped two groups of deer, and found a nice scrape line as I was dragging her out. I'll' be back.

    Cabarrus County meat doe
110lb live weight, full of fat
25 yd shot with Hornady 240gr XTP with 90gr of Triple 7
20yd recovery with a blood trail a blind man followed

Stand has limited visibility since it was setup for my son for bowhunting last year. Saw this doe coming right to left, and gave me a broadside shot. After the smoke cleared 20 seconds later, the big 8 I have on camera from this summer came right behind her, turned and gave me a nice broadside shot but I had no reload time. Huffed and puffed around, and ducked back into the woods where he came from
Saw another 8 that is older, and then got a little cowhorn that came right under me on video.

My wife shot this big 10 point around 5:15 pm opening day of the central ML season.
We had him on two different trail cameras but all of the pics were at night.
She shot him at 40 yards and he went only 45 yards and dropped.

Took my 3 kids hunting and all 3 were successful. Zach hunted by himself and shot a 5 pointer, Maggie sat with me and shot a young doe, and my wife sat with Emily and Emily shot a young doe too.
