I will be heading up to Hammocks beach before Easter - March 24. Looking for info on what is typically biting from the shore around that time of year. Any tips? Are flounder typically gonna be around?
Sorry - Technically Bear Island is where I will be fishing. Was hoping to throw a bucktail rig out with a gulp and see what happens for flounder... Any other tips/ fish to focus on?
Yeah you could get lucky and catch a flatfish, March can be a cold and windy month. About the only place we fish in March is up in the turning basin at Morehead City. There should be some Sea Mullet around even b4 the last of March in some areas. Could be a Speckled Trout around as well, give it a shot anyway..
