Coyote hunting

Recommend me a good light for coyote hunting. Just started getting in to it a little bit and wanna get a light for my AR. Would prefer a rail mounted light over scope mounted.

Also ammo. I haven't been able to find any 5.56 in a soft point other than online. Got some 223 federal soft points in 64 grain. ROT on barrel is 1:7.

I've found some soft points in dunhams if you have one near you. Also, I can't really recommend a light, except to say I've used a hog heaven and was impressed. But I've had much better luck in the daytime than I have at night so far this year. But I'm new to it all too so it could just be something I'm doing.

Have you found any of the Federal 50 grain varmint ammo made especially for AR type rifles?

That ammo is very accurate and reliable if you do not have to have soft points. It has a gray ballistic tip.

Your ammo should be fine. If your rifle shoots 33/62 grain baill just shoot them with that. I hate to waste a good bullet on them.

I don't coyote hunt but for AR I would look into stream light TRL 1 HL. Very bright and long range if your looking for a normal non color light.
