Old Mossy Horns
Went out today to let My dog Pete get some exercise and for me to try for a few Bass and Crappie. Midday 1-230 pm. I threw a Spinnerbait for 45 mins or so with not a bump.
Switched to a Chartreuse 1/16 monks head and Chartreuse slider grub and got a few hits. It was really windy and water choppy so I changed the head to a Roadrunner head for more vibration. That was the trick. Caught 10 or 11 crappie , 2 bream and 1 bass in the last 45 mins. 1 crappie was almost 14 inches and the shoulders so big that she would not fit into the ez checker all the way. Got most of the fish on my new go pro but it will probably be a week or so before I do anything with the videos. The new Go pro has the voice activation feature which is nice but I am sure glad it doesnt respond to bad words
Frustrating as the wind was baaaaad and very hard to keep my lures where I wanted them or the line would get swept over a limb . But a good day.
