After the rain yesterday. Lots of strutting marks on the roads.


Deer and turkey killing the big clover field right now.

The birds are still in big flocks. Went up to Rockingham this Saturday and you could literally not step in the clover pasture without stepping in turkey poop. The only part of the 6 acre pasture not covered in poop was the acre near the highway . That will not be the case come opening day. The birds will split up and the hard hunting will be on unfortunately.

Gonna be some noisy woods in couple weeks for that youth hunt question may be how your gonna calm them nerves

Don't think you can be overloaded with turkeys! Looks like there should be plenty to mess with come April.

Interesting and definitely a target rich environment

seems like they are traveling left in the am and heading back right in the afternoons if the times are correct, so would assume the roosting area is to the right - my mind is always trying to figure these things out :D
