Try bathing in Irish Spring soap. May not help draw the turkeys but you can enjoy the scent all day while swatting mosquitos.

I've still got some of the original in the glass bottles. Stop by the shop when you're out this way and I'll share a bit with you. This stuff is better than corn!!

Avery Creek used to sell the powdered version of hen n heat. I have some but not willing to part with it as it is so effective I have to use it to kill a bird.

I have a couple of bottles left. I store it next to the sail boat fuel.

I can't believe you guys will use that stuff, that's not hunting when you use the gobblers sex drive to kill him. Poor little fluffy bird.

Wal-Mart has plenty in stock... get a fee bag of corn with every bottle purchased. Not a bad deal...

Just remember to hang it low on a branch turkeys don't smell as good as deer so put it at beak level. But if your gonna use that unfair advantage might as well get you big blind feeder and set a decoy under it with rifle in hand

I'm not even going to use mine anymore. I still have bottles of the original blend, before they were forced to water it down. It's not even sporting to use it. When they fly from downwind, over corn piles, to land within 15 feet of the stuff, it's not really a challenge. Shame on y'all who use it.

Hen in Heat, Decoys, Fanning, ground blinds, heavier than lead shot, where will it end!

Only end when the bird is snatched from the bushes an in the hand.

As long as people dream of the latest gadget or gismo to help with drawing in your quarry, then hunters will continue to buy.

Is it best to just hang it from a limb, or would a drag be more effective?

For best results do both. Drag it to where you plan to call and then hang it there. The more time HnH is given to work, the more effective it is.

Ok, I have another question. Do you have to use eastern-in-heat around here or will say rio-in-heat work?

Personally I think that the use of HIH is unethical and a detriment to quality turkey management. May I suggest using another product called Jake brake. It causes young jakes to avoid the area and only allows old toms within range.

The town I live in put up a sign at the city limits sign outlawing jake breaking

Unfortunately, if you purchased Rio-In-Heat you've been suckered by Chinese marketing. Such a product does not exist. HnH was proudly developed here in Eastern and Central NC and is only marketed under Hen In Heat(tm).

I can't support this product at all, it's unethical and I can't get past the explicit turkey porn on the packaging. It certainly can't be used during youth day/week because it may offend some of the more sensitive turkey hunters and their small children.

All I know is using Jake Brake in tandem with the new dupleated uranium shot (I like the brand Urin-range). Drops the big boys every time. The last old tom I got would have won the DDC if I glued his feet to a doe skull.
