My 94 yo mother in law probably suffered a stroke this am (still in the emergency Dept running tests). She's a great lady, and I'd appreciate a 'boost' from y'all.
Her responses were getting better as the evening wore on. She had an MRI late, and my wife and her sister are there now asking the questions.
I think a key factor here was that they caught it early. There was something about supplying meds within a 3 hour window that would greatly increase her chances of survival / recovery.
Thank you for all the prayers. They paid off. After 10 days of my wife and her sisters spending the days with her and taking turns staying overnight, she's out of neural ICU, talking, writing, eating, etc...
She's developed an 'attitude'. We're not sure if it's a good thing or not. It could be feistyness from being cooped up, or it could be damage from the stroke.
