Hey all, I was wondering about the conditions of the streams in Ashe county as of today. I know they have been getting a lot of rain up there the last few days. Tomorrow will be the first day that I get to fish and kinda wanted to know what to expect. Thanks in advance. !!!!!!

Waters high and dingy in Watauga but small streams clear up fast

what muzzy said. I was there over the weekend and the current was fast, waters were high, and the fish that I managed to catch were stuffed to the gills... Goodluck fishing.

Water was about twice as high as normal. Water varied from downright muddy to dingy. Managed to catch four and it was extremely tough ! Thanks to all for the heads up .

Blackwater

Twelve Pointer

Went today in Ashe, water is down and clearing but still a bit dingy. Caught one brown and one redeye before moving on to another river.
