CRC
Old Mossy Horns
Last three weeks of May across the state to discuss changes to the deer seasons structure.
No more details than that.
No more details than that.
Proposed seasons, remember that is the whole point of the meetings to see what the general public wants.Wrong.
Just confirming there are going to be hearings on deer management this May.
Before I was told there was likely going to be hearings.
The commission meeting web cast confirmed they are indeed going to be held and changes are indeed going to be proposed.
Meat hunters will not be happy with shorter seasons imho.
Proposed seasons, remember that is the whole point of the meetings to see what the general public wants.
So Know it all
What changes going to happen....
They meet ever year to discuss changes for hunting.
No know it all here.
I simply talked to the WRC deer biologist.
As I understand it a 5 week season is being looked at hard and the timing of the season will revolve around biology and not politics.
Exactly but meetings are going to be held and changes are being brought before hunters.
Details apparently will be released soon.
Just letting folks know so they can plan to be there.
Let's get our terminology right. Is it meetings or hearings? There is a difference.
No, I know it all, here.
I simply talked to the WRC deer biologist.
.
Fixed it for you.
Get mad at me all you want.
Changes are coming and they are proposing a shorter gun season. Not me.
I highly doubt it is happening this year.
My hunt club had it's annual meeting yesterday. The local warden came and spoke to the club. He was telling us about rules that NCWRC was considering for next year.
What's next year? 2017 or 2018?
Very likely it's not 2017.
Link to this info?CRC said it so it must be true.
It is all posted in the NCWRC web site.
Talks about changing the way they are evaluating things.
Nothing about a 5 week deer season or big changes like CRC wants and is pushing for.
