4/27 out of Wilmington

Old Mossy Horns
I was a week ahead looking at the calendar 4/20

Slipped out during the brief weather window last Thursday to chase the Wahoos again. We took a little beating getting out but it slicked out as the day went on. First thing we got into a lot of Blackfins and some citation albacore. We could of had all the blackfin we wanted if we switch from wire and threw on some spoons and feathers but Wahoo were the target. Eventually the Albacore became a pain and we headed north. Picked up 2 Wahoo after lunch and that was it. The big schools are pretty dispersed now that the water has warmed up. Ended up with 6-7 good sized blackfin, a few mahi, and 2 Wahoo.

Wow. Beautiful water. For someone who's never been out there, one of the things we probably don't think about is how clear the water is and how beautiful the fish are when they are in it (and immediately afterward).
