I forgot I had made these two videos of some hens last fall. I was having trouble with playback on my computer back then, and I wasn't sure if they had uploaded correctly. These are the same group of hens on two different days. This is footage of hens being hens...if you just like watching turkeys.
Have you ever seen a turkey look up a tree? At the end of this first one, a hen cocks her head to look up a white oak tree like she's waiting on the next acorn to fall.

In this second one, I am in a big pine tree, and a hen flies from her roost tree and lands about 15 feet above my head. I found out that is the one place you really can't video is straight up! The camera mount will go 100% vertically down but not up. She then flew to another tree nearby. It was interesting to see them tree-hopping at eye level.
